Nanaimo and Regional District information
The Regional District is launching their lastest waste management project, the Green Bin Project which will dramatically reduce the amount of waste that ends up in our landfill. The video explains it all.
Well and Septic
Buying a home that is on well water usually is quite straight forward as long as you do your due diligence. Getting a water test is the best to start but it does not end there. The well itself may need to be inspected. The BC Ministry of the Environment website offers additional information on the subject.
Buying a home with a septic system also requires caution and due diligence. The Regional District of Nanaimo's septic system information package is an excellent resource and should be read if the home you are buying has a septic system.
